When visiting Switzerland, travelers may encounter the risk of paying a high cost of living. Switzerland consistently ranks among the world's most expensive countries, and this is a risk to the personal finance of individuals. It is very likely for tourists to encounter the impact of high cost of living as the country has a reputation for high pricing in accommodation, restaurants, activities, and even transportations.


This risk of having to pay high cost of living can be managed by sticking to a budget and looking for free activities to do around the area. When doing your budgeting for the trip to Switzerland, conduct detailed research for the prices online or get local feedback to know how much you will roughly spend. It is also essential not to bring the exact amount of cash as you need to have emergency funds in case anything happens. In addition, keeping your trip flexible and skipping expensive tourist attractions will help you avoid the tourist traps they have. There are a lot of budget friendly alternative options such as walking tours, trails, and beautiful landscapes to visit.

With the right preparation, you can enjoy what Switzerland has to offer while avoiding the financial risks that a lot of tourist's experience.

Blogpost 1 - Symbols (Assess this)

When you land to a different country, the first thing you see is a big flag of the country you are visiting. In Switzerland, the flag you will see is a white cross in a red background. Fun fact, normally, the shape of the flags are rectangular. Switzerland is one of the only two flags in the world that has a square shape! I chose to talk about the national flag because it represents the whole country and tells a beautiful story about each country. During the early times, flags were made to differ itself from their competitors in the field of battle. It is known to many of us that the colors of the flag has multiple meanings that it wants to portray. Although for Switzerland, historians can not agree to why they chose those colors. The official flag of Switzerland was designed during the 1889 and it is symbolizing the security, peace, and equality of human lives. Security can be seen in Switzerland as it was ranked the 11th safest country to be in during 2019 by the global peace index.

Switzerland is known for their many leaders and entrepreneurs around the world. They do a lot of international trade and I believe that learning something from that would be meaningful for me as a commerce student.
